I was just looking at Elvis Costello's version of 'Lost in the Stars' (original by Frank Sinatra), when I bumped into another song (see the embedded video below). To be honest, and my head will get smashed in by some audiophile soon enough for saying this, Elvis Costello never really got through to me. I liked 'Lost in the Stars', but the really typical Costello-songs never got their grip on me.
Today there was a breakthrough tough. After listening to "It's Time", I went on, browsing through other songs of Costello, and suddenly it all came through to me. If you like Elvis Costello you probably know what I'm talking about. If you don't, you probably won't even have read to this very point, and even if you had enough determination to read through all my babbling, you'll still think I'm just talking nonsense.
It could be, though, that this video is a turning point for you too. And just because of the fact that that chance exists, no matter how small, I'm posting this video. I'm posting it because even the tiniest sparkle can drive away the darkness.
